Perpetual Adoration

Since the visit of Mr. John Howard (National Co-ordinator for the Eucharistic Congress), 60 people have committed to spending one hour in Eucharistic Adoration in our Church. We are delighted with the response to his talk and we pray it will continue.

Can you commit to 1 hour a week?

We the committee of the Perpetual Adoration would firstly like to send out to each one of our adorers a huge thank you for the wonderful commitment you have given to keeping all the hours covered each week.

As you know we will now be celebrating 21 years on the feast of Corpus Christi the 26th of June 2011 . We are making an urgent appeal to everyone to help us by coming forward to spend one hour of your week to keep our Adoration going. It is an absolute necessity to have enough people to cover the hours, with a minimum of 2 people per hour during the night hours. We understand when people go on holidays, move home, are ill or otherwise indisposed that they may not be able to attend, so we have to make sure that their hours are covered also. This is not an easy thing to do, so that is why this special appeal is going out to each one of our community, to families and individuals alike to come a spend One hour a week in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

As you may be aware Pope John Paul II will be Beatified this Sunday 1st May Divine Mercy Sunday, Pope John Paul II said "May our Adoration Never Cease" This is precisely what Perpetual Adoration is: Adoration that Never Ceases.

This Year also brings, through the Diocesan preparations for the Eucharistic Congress 2012, the encouragement of the engagement with Perpetual Adoration in Parishes throughout the Diocese.

So please if you have a hour to spare in this hectic world why not commit to coming in for some quiet time in our church. Looking forward to meeting you.

Yours Sincerely,
The Perpetual Adoration Committee.
